Katie Couric Offered 60 Minutes

The New York Post says Katie Couric has been offered a job as a regular correspondent on 60 Minutes—if she also agrees to do a daytime talk show for CBS. That means she’ll be giving up the anchor’s seat on CBS’ evening newscast. It’s the chief of 60 Minutes, Jeff Fager, who, according to the Post, is believed to be pushing Couric out: He was put in charge last month of all of CBS News. But CBS Chief Les Moonves apparently wants to keep her.
