The video then cuts to a clip of a group of people, who appear to be Perry’s dancers for the tour, tasting the cake off the floor. X users have criticized Perry for wasting the cake. “Katy Perry’s team surprised her with a birthday cake and she straight up threw the whole thing at someone, wasting it all… this woman is actually pathetic,” one user wrote. Over the last year, Perry has faced multiple internet backlashes, from criticism of her music to her participation in an all-female space flight.
