Tatum O’Neal was deeply hurt when she first learned her father, Ryan O’Neal, had cut her out of his will. But the 61-year-old Academy Award winner now sees things differently, telling Variety of her father’s $30 million fortune: “Keep it, motherf---er.” Ryan died in 2023 from congestive heart failure at the age of 82. Tatum—who starred alongside her father in the 1973 movie Paper Moon—discussed their troubled relationship in a 2005 book, A Paper Life, in which she claimed her father was abusive to her, his romantic partners, and others. Tatum said her remarks in the book are probably why her father denied her a place in his will. “The first book that I wrote was just a f--king honest book. And that’s what got him,” she said. Her son, Kevin McEnroe, added that the wealth his grandfather left behind was nothing but “blood money.”
