Ex-White House Aide Who Mocked Dying John McCain Is Hired by Pro-Trump PAC
SHE’S BACK
Kelly Sadler, a former White House aide who mocked the late Sen. John McCain, has been hired to handle communications for the pro-Trump super PAC America First Action. Sadler remarked during a communications meeting last year that McCain’s opposition to Trump’s nomination of Gina Haspel for CIA director didn’t matter because he was “dying anyway.” She was later let go after the remark was made public. “I’m really excited to do everything in my power to help reelect the President of the United States, by joining the great team at America First,” Sadler told CNN. “The President is solving the problems the American people elected him to do, and I can't wait to help him win another four years in office, so he can achieve even more.” The White House never denied Sadler’s remark, and issued a statement saying they “respect Senator McCain’s service to our nation.” McCain’s wife responded on Twitter, saying, “May I remind you my husband has a family, 7 children and 5 grandchildren.”
