Kellyanne Conway Tells Chris Cuomo It’s a ‘Slur’ to Call Trump a Liar
ALTERNATIVE FACTS
In one of their epically long CNN shout-fests, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway claimed to Chris Cuomo that it’s a “slur” to accuse President Trump of lying. Conway went on the offensive against the CNN host in a heated 39-minute exchange Thursday night, telling the host, “You took a shot at the president tonight. You called him a slur I’m not going to repeat,” Conway said. When asked “what slur” she was referring to, Conway replied, “You’re saying he’s not telling the truth. That’s a slur. That’s a slur.” Conway went on to insist that Trump knew nothing about an illegal hush-money payment to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, despite his former lawyer Michael Cohen and National Enquirer owner David Pecker both implicating him. Later, Conway tried to suggest that people don’t like it when Cuomo books her on his primetime show “for a very simple reason”: that he is anti-Trump. “No, the reason they get frustrated is that you guys don’t answer questions and that you spin a lot and that you ignore what’s obvious fact,” he responded. When Conway then “dared” the host to call her a “liar,” Cuomo replied, “If I have to, I will.”
