Ted Kennedy will be survived by his children Kara Anne Kennedy, Edward Kennedy Jr., and Patrick J. Kennedy, as well as his second wife, Vicki Kennedy. When his illness was first announced, some speculated that he wanted his wife Vicki to succeed him. His son, Patrick, is also a politician, representing the first district of Rhode Island in Congress.
