Butler, which was seeded fifth, knocked first-seeded Syracuse out of the tournament, 63-59, in an upset game that went down to the final minutes. That wasn't the most knuckle-biting game of the night though—Kansas State went into double overtime versus Xavier, with Kansas State pulling out a 101-96 victory.
