The family of Raffaele Sollecito—who, along with Amanda Knox, was exonerated this week from his conviction in the 2007 murder of British student Meredith Kercher—has offered to help the victim’s family uncover the real story behind her death. “We worked to get to the truth to free Raffaele, and we are prepared to continue that search with [the Kerchers],” says Sarah Achille, Sollecito’s aunt. The Sollecitos have said they believe the killer was Rudy Guede—the African man who was convicted in a separate trial—but think there’s more to the story.
