Kim Davis Turns Republican

Feeling abandoned by Democrats while fighting same-sex marriage, notorious Kentucky clerk Kim Davis has vowed to join the Republican Party, she announced on Friday at the Family Research Council’s Value Voters Summit. “I’ve always been a Democrat, but the party left me,” she said. For weeks Davis has remained in the national spotlight for defying the Supreme Court by refusing to issue marriage license to same-sex couples. She was eventually held in contempt and subsequently jailed, but even after she was released she allegedly continued to tamper with the licenses.
