Let's just say not too many people are going to be riding to Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom's defense. Instead, locals who live near his opulent $24 million home in New Zealand are riding their horses out to take photos in front of it. It's just one of the many assets frozen by the U.S.'s attempt to bring down Dotcom's file-sharing site, the largest in the world, in the largest copyright infringement suit ever pursued. The reason for the neighbors' elation is that they no longer have to fear Dotcom's roaring fleet of luxury vehicles, which forced many of the residents to keep their horses stabled in order to stay out of the way. Dotcom owned 18 vehicles, including a Rolls-Royce and a pink 1959 Cadillac, all of which were seized along with NZ $11 million in cash last week. The 38-year-old and his associates are being prosecuted for allegedly bringing in $175 million in profits from illegal file-sharing.
