Recent photo of North Korea's leader is fake.

With Kim Jong Il more elusive than Waldo these days, the North Korean government released a photograph to assure the world that Dear Leader is alive and well. But experts believe that the photo is actually from August—the setting matches photos taken then, and the flora is far too green for autumn. Kim Jong Il was last seen two months ago, and his failure to appear at two national celebrations fueled speculation that he was very ill, or possibly dead. Some believe that North Korea released the photo in order to bolster its position in negotiating with the United States to be removed from the terror sponsors list.
