Kim Jong Un has made his first mention of the upcoming summit between North Korea and the U.S., according to state media. Pyongyang has been strangely quiet about the meetup—scheduled to take place in May or early June, according to President Trump—since the first reports of it surprised the world last month. According to the state-news agency KCNA, the North Korean leader discussed the “development of the North-South relations at present and the prospect of the [North Korea]-U.S. dialogue” during a meeting with his government officials. If the talks go ahead, it will be the first time a sitting U.S. president has met a North Korean leader.
