Despite the daily headlines being made over Kim Jong-un threats of launching and testing nuclear weapons, the North Korean leader hasn’t been seen publicly since April 1. He’s already known as the “strange hermit king,” but this extended public absence is leading some to wonder whether there’s been a coup or if this is part of some intimidation strategy. It’s expected that he will come out of hiding soon to commemorate the anniversary for his grandfather Kim Il-sung.
