After leading much of the night, Cyndi Lauper's Kinky Boots took Best Musical at Sunday night's Tony Awards, and Pippin won Best Revival. In the big upset of the night, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? star Tracy Letts beat out Tom Hanks for best leading actor in a play. That wasn't Virginia Woolf's only accolade of the evening, as the show also took home the Tony for best play revival. Kinky Boots racked up several other awards, winning best musical score and best choreography; star Billy Porter won best performance in a musical. Andrea Martin, who stars in Pippin, won the award for best featured actress in a musical. Her co-star, Patina Miller, won the best leading actress in a musical award.
