KSM: Prosecutors Destroyed 9/11 Evidence

Defense claims judge knew about it.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s attorneys have accused the judge and entire prosecution in his case of “at least the appearance of collusion” in secretly destroying evidence relevant to his military tribunal. KSM, the self-described architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, faces the death penalty after his tribunal at Guantanamo Bay. Defense lawyer Maj. Derek Poteet, a Marine Corps lawyer, said the move to request the removal of the prosecutors and judge is “something you do not do lightly.” He said the defense team had been “misled” by the prosecutors and judge. “I am disappointed, disturbed, and sad that we found it necessary to file this motion,” he said.
