A Kentucky lawmaker is resigning his leadership post in the state's House of Representatives, after it was revealed he secretly settled a sexual harassment case. Rep. Jeff Hoover denies sexually harassing a former staffer, claiming he sent her inappropriate text messages with her consent. Nevertheless, Hoover admitted late last year that he had signed a settlement agreement with the woman. Eight of his fellow Republicans accused Hoover of using taxpayer money to cover up the settlement. Hoover will not resign his post as a representative, but will no longer serve as speaker.
