Fierce winds stoking a brush fire near Los Angeles in Banning, California, pushed it to 1,500 acres on Wednesday afternoon. The fire has forced 500 residents to evacuate, and at least one structure has been damaged by the flames. More than 400 firefighters from nearby juristictions were fighting the spreading fire, along with six helicopters and six aerial tankers.
