Lady Gaga Twitter Queen

All hail the newest queen of Twitter: Lady Gaga. The 24-year-old pop sensation will soon overthrow Britney Spears for the crown of most-followed Twitter user. Gaga is set to pass more than 5.6 million followers—the number Spears currently holds—according to social media statistics service Famecount.com. When Gaga reached five million followers in July, she tweeted, “Here’s to monsters, music, and 5 million of my closest friends! Cheers! I officially declare this institution ‘Tweeterland!’” This is not to say, though, that Gaga won’t have competition. Tween heartthrob Justin Bieber, who is reportedly gaining 800,000 followers each month, could surpass Gaga in six months, according to predictions.
