Landslide Buries 18 Chinese Kids

It was the worst possible end to an already-bad day: 18 schoolchildren in China, who were attending a make-up session on a public holiday, were buried in landslide triggered by recent earthquakes. Four of the students’ bodies have been recovered from the rubble that struck the school and two houses. Another village resident was buried in the disaster, while one family of three managed to escape in time. Earthquakes hit the area around Sept. 7, killing 80 people and injuring hundreds.
