A man, who appears to have been armed, was shot by the Las Vegas Police Department at a busy shopping center after he apparently opened fire inside a busy department store, according to local news outlets. Las Vegas police are investigating the incident, the fifth officer-involved shooting this week according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Preliminary reports indicate that a man opened fire inside of a Ross department store, according to a witness. An officer shot someone believed to be the shooter. The shooter’s condition was not immediately available and it was not immediately clear if anyone was shot during the confrontation. Stores in the shopping center include Target, Kohl’s, Office Depot and Petco.
