Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841 – 1919). Oil on canvas, 18 1/8 x 21 7/8 inches. Last week the Philadelphia Museum of Art opened up the traveling exhibit (previously in Paris and Los Angeles) of later works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, who died in 1919. The show is open through September 6, and features Renoir among some work by younger artists of his time, including Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso.
