Latest DVR Downloads 50 Channels at Once

Record

Holds 13 years of content on hard drive.

The newest DVR model, the SnapStream, allows viewers to record up to 50 television channels simultaneously, doing the work of 326 TiVo Premiere boxes. Up to 115,200 hours of programming from a cable feed can be stored on a 136TB hard drive, equivalent to 13 years of content. SnapStream DVR users could keep their system recording 50 channels for 96 days straight without ever having to delete. It’s not cheap, though. A system that can handle between four and 10 tuners at once with 3-15TB goes for $12,000.
