Lawmaker: Ban College Football Strikes

Directly targeting Mizzou players.

Missouri State Rep. Rick Brattan introduced legislation Tuesday that would take away scholarships of college athletes who refuse to play “for a reason unrelated to health.” This is in direct response to the Mizzou football players who went on strike last month to protest racism on campus. The proposed bill would also impose a fine on coaching staff who encouraged individuals to engage in this behavior.
