LCD Soundsystem Unveils New Xmas Song

LCD Soundsystem dropped a surprise Christmas song Thursday, nearly five years after disbanding. The song, “Christmas Will Break Your Heart,” marks the first new track from the band in more than five years. “There’s been this depressing Christmas song I’d been singing to myself for the past 8 years, and every year I wouldn’t remember that I wanted to make it until December, which is just too late to actually record and release a Christmas song,” frontman James Murphy explained of the track on LCD Soundsystem’s Twitter account. Consequence of Sound reports LCD Soundsystem will also reunite in 2016 for a series of festival appearances, including Coachella in April.
