Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S., lied on an airport questionnaire about not having any contact with an infected person while in Liberia, according to authorities. The African country’s Ministry of Justice intends to formally prosecute Duncan. Meanwhile in Dallas, the four family members who shared an apartment with Duncan are being directed by police to remain in isolation after what authorities called a failure to comply with an order to stay home. Problems have arisen, however, with the state of the apartment. Four days after Duncan was put in isolation at a hospital, the apartment had not been cleaned, with sheets and towels that Duncan used while sick still there because health officials had trouble finding a medical team willing to take on the job. The woman who hosted Duncan and accompanied him to the hospital says that she told workers twice that Duncan had been in Liberia but was sent back with only some antibiotics.
