Libertarian vice presidential candidate Bill Weld, who shares the ticket with Gary Johnson, said on Tuesday that he hopes to specifically target Donald Trump over the next five weeks, hoping to help keep him from the White House. He insisted that he still supports Johnson, who has had a series of gaffes in recent weeks, but wants to work to defeat Trump and rebuild the Republican party after the election. “Maybe somebody is going to come up with a new playbook, and I don’t know who it’s going to be, but it would be fun to participate,” Weld told The Boston Globe.
