Helicopter dispatched to deal with stuffed animal.
A life-sized tiger stuffed animal caused a huge scare in Britain after residents of Hampshire mistook it for real. Police readied a team with tranquilizer darts, dispatched a helicopter with thermal imaging, and shut down play at the local cricket stadium. "We were moments away from making the journey when we received a call from police to say it was a stuffed toy,” says an employee of a nearby zoo, who helped prepare the tranquilizer-dart team. The stuffed animal is similar to toys that can be won at fairs. Police are now searching for its owner and investigating whether it was a hoax.
