Lifetime has ordered 12 episodes of a new reality TV show about Russian Americans in Brighton Beach in Brooklyn—a show that it’s spinning as a Russified Jersey Shore. The show, titled Brighton Beach, will be focused on a local nightclub, but it will also focus on entire families instead of just young people. The show’s producer says, “There will be plenty of vodka, techno music, and guys wearing Adidas pants, leather jackets, and gold chains, and driving souped-up cars. There will also be a lot of hot, decked-out Russian girls.”
