Lil Wayne Doesn’t Feel ‘Connected’ to Black Lives Matter
“I’m a young black rich mother****er.”

Hip-hop star Lil Wayne gave an interview to ABC’s Nightline in which he said he doesn’t “feel connected” to the Black Lives Matter movement. “What is it? What does it mean?” he said. “I don’t feel connected to a damn thing that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me.” He added, “I’m a young black rich mother****er. If that don’t let you know that America understand.” In the past several months, Lil Wayne has faced a backlash for public statements on social issues, including in September when he told Fox Sports 1’s Undisputed he believed there’s “no such thing as racism.”
