Rush Limbaugh is not very keen on all these pronouncements from Republicans such as Mitch McConnell and John Boehner that they are prepared to work with President Obama now that they have full control of Congress. Limbaugh says the Republicans, who seized the Senate in Tuesday elections and expanded their lead in the House, were elected to stop Obama. He said it is “very simple what that mandate is,” noting that the Democrats were handed a resounding defeat. “It is to stop Barack Obama. It is to stop the Democrats. There is no other reason why Republicans were elected yesterday. Republicans were not elected to govern.” Nor, he said, is it their job “to fix a broken system.” It remains to be seen if the newly ascendant GOP will see it Rush’s way.
