Liz Cheney, an outspoken conservative activist and the daughter of former vice president Dick Cheney, announced on Tuesday she will run for Senate in Wyoming. The younger Cheney will take on three-term Sen. Mike Enzi, who also announced his candidacy on Tuesday, in the Republican primary next summer. Cheney, a prominent political commentator on Fox News (until today), bought a home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, last year and began attending GOP events across the state to prep for her candidacy. “I thought we were friends,” Enzi said when he heard the news. “She said that if I ran, she wasn’t going to run.”
