BGR Group is no longer working for Saudi Arabia, according to Jeff Birnbaum, a spokesperson for the lobbying firm. He did not provide further comment on why the firm severed ties with the kingdom. It comes in the wake of the alleged killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Earlier in the day, Glover Park Group, another lobbying firm, also cut ties with Saudi Arabia.
