A well-known Washington lobbying firm thinks bankers should be worried about Occupy Wall Street. In a document obtained by MSNBC, the firm Clark Lytle Geduldig & Cranford lays out a plan for the American Bankers Association to conduct “opposition research” and construct “negative narratives” about the protests and allied politicians. Among their concerns: that Democrats will embrace Occupy, that "Republicans will no longer defend Wall Street companies,” and that the Occupy protesters will find common cause with the Tea Party. The ABA says the did not solicit the proposal and won't act on it. Two of the memo's authors previously worked for House Speaker John Boehner.
