The Longwood, Florida, Police Department has fired an officer who was accused of tormenting a co-worker about her fear of COVID-19. WESH reports that Cpl. David Hernandez allegedly hugged the woman, touched her personal items, and talked on her phone while mocking her. The woman declined to press criminal charges, but investigators who looked into her allegations said Hernandez misled them about what happened—triggering his firing.
