The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing a rape allegation against Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick, according to Variety. The Los Angeles Police Department has been investigating the claim that actress Kristina Cohen was raped by Westwick in 2014. Cohen made the allegation in a November 2017 Facebook post, and the case was submitted to the DA’s office on Tuesday. Westwick has denied the sexual assault claims. “I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape,” he tweeted. After Cohen’s post, two other women came forward—one alleged that Westwick raped her, while the other said that he “groped her and pushed her up against a wall.” He also denied those accusations, saying he was “cooperating with the authorities so that they can clear my name as soon as possible.” Westwick was reportedly slated to play a character in a BBC Agatha Christie adaptation, but was eventually recast after the allegations were made public.
