A recreational hunter who was lost for six days without food or water in Australia’s Outback managed to survive by eating black ants. Reg Foggerdy, 62, was extremely dehydrated and “delusional” when police found him early Tuesday sitting under a tree, where he had stayed for two days. “He was eating black ants, that’s how he survived, so fantastic survival skills by him, and fantastic skills by our trackers who found him in an extremely remote location,” Police Superintendent Andy Greenwood said. Foggerdy became lost when he took off after a feral camel he was hunting.
