Lottery Winners Split $335M Jackpot

Mega Millions

One from Idaho, one from Washington.

The holders of tickets sold in Idaho and Washington will split a $335 million Mega Millions jackpot, its second-largest ever and the fourth-largest in U.S. history. (The national record is $390 million, set in March 2007.) Each of the Mega Millions winners will get $177.5 million. Thousands of people lined up for tickets in the 41 states where the game is available. Hundreds crossed the border from Nevada into Arizona to buy tickets; one cafe had 500 people in line at various times the day before the winner was announced.
