Loughner's Dad May Break Silence

Has written public statement.

In addition to a horribly creepy mugshot, Monday offered some of the first few details on Jared Loughner’s family life. Loughner was estranged from his parents, according to the parents of his former friend; at one point, two years ago, his parents turned up looking for him, saying he’d been gone for days. Meanwhile, his parents, Amy and Ryan, are devastated according to a neighbor. "They can't talk without breaking down and just crying, doing their best, you know, they're hurting." Loughner’s father has prepared and may release a statement, according to The Wall Street Journal. Apparently, the parents had barricaded their door shut with a 4-by-4 and FBI agents had to convince them to remove it.
