The University of Louisville will announce Friday a self-imposed ban on its men’s basketball team participating in the postseason for the 2016-17 campaign. The university made the decision to further stave off controversy as the NCAA continues investigating a woman’s claims that she and other escorts were paid thousands of dollars and given game tickets in exchange for dancing for and having sex with the team’s players and recruits for four years. Rick Pitino’s Louisville Cardinals are 18-4 and are in second place in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
