Lowest Oscars Ratings Since 2009

Last night's Academy Awards were the least-watched since 2009, off 16 percent from last year's show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. A "largely non-commercial crop of Best Picture nominees" is largely to blame, Entertainment Weekly writes. Vulture notes that the ratings among adults 18-49 was the second-lowest since Neilsen began keeping track of that demographic in the early 1990s.
