The thieves who stole Lupita Nyong’o’s $150,000 Calvin Klein pearl dress have returned the precious item to the hotel where it was stolen. The dress, which is embroidered with 6,000 Akoya pearls, was dumped in a garbage bag when it was returned. An anonymous caller to TMZ claimed to be one of the thieves, who took the dress from Nyong’o’s room when he noticed the door ajar. The thief claimed to have removed several of the pearls and taken them to an appraiser in the Los Angeles garment district, who deemed the pearls fake.
