Macaulay Culkin opened up about his relationship with fellow child star Brenda Song in a rare interview for Cosmopolitan. Culkin--who goes by Mack--has kept a low profile since his prolific career as a child actor in the 80s and 90s, especially when it comes to his relationship with Song, who is best known as London Tipton in the Disney show Sweet Life on Deck in the 2000s. The couple shocked fans last year when Song and their kids made their first public appearance together for the unveiling of Culkin’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “That the public is like, ‘Wait, they’re together and they have kids?’ Good. That means we did our job,” the Home Alone actor said. Though their relationship just entered the public consciousness, they’ve actually been together for eight years. After first meeting in 2014, they grew closer when they were cast together in Changelands in 2017. Since then, the pair have gotten engaged and had two sons, 3-year-old Dakota and 2-year-old Carson. Song said they’ve talked about a wedding but haven’t gotten around to planning it yet. Instead, they’ve been focusing on their family and their acting careers. “I’ve had to hustle my entire life being an Asian American actress in Hollywood. I’ve just always had to be very proactive,” Song said. “But I feel like you help me chill out,” she told Culkin, “and I help bring out that [fire] in you.”
