Will steal King of England in film, not real life.
In a move sure to excite empty Blockbuster shelves everywhere, rumor has it Madonna has her heart set on acting. Yes, again. The Material Girl singer is gunning for the film role of Wallis Simpson, an American divorcee who was poised at the height of scandal in the 1930s when King Edward VIII abdicated his throne to marry her, reports the Guardian. "Madonna said she is fascinated about this American commoner who refused to conform or offer explanations for her tangled love life," a source told the Sun. Coincidentally, Madonna's divorce from director Guy Ritchie was recently settled.
