Madrid Museum To Sell David Beckham Condoms

The public has been intimately exposed to David Beckham via billboards in which he stripped down to his skivvies for Giorgio Armani. Now the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum in Madrid plans to sell condoms in wrapping featuring the works of their Tears of Eros exhibition, including the famed soccer star sleeping in a video by Sam Taylor-Wood. Actress Nastassja Kinski, whose photograph by Richard Avedon will be on display for the exhibition, will also decorate the prophylactic packaging as well as works by Rodin, Rubens, Maillais and Bernini. Baroness Thyssen, the former Spanish beauty queen whose art-collector husband founded the museum, said the marketing plan as “a way of bringing art and responsibility together.”
