Trump-supporting mail bomber Cesar Sayoc pleaded guilty in Manhattan Federal Court Thursday, the New York Daily News reports. The 56-year-old, who is accused of sending prominent anti-Trump figures pipe bombs in the mail, reportedly started to cry as he pleaded guilty to 65 counts—including “use of a weapon of mass destruction and illegal mailing of explosives with intent to kill.” “In October 2018 I made devices that were designed to look like pipe bombs and sent them in the mail,” he said. “I know these actions were wrong and I’m extremely sorry.” He allegedly sent explosives to a number of recipients, including CNN’s New York bureau, President Barack Obama, and actor Robert DeNiro. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
