Some of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s “Make America Healthy Again” stalwarts have begun a mutiny over his apparent failure to fulfill his promises.

MAHA activists debuted a scorecard on Thursday detailing how the health and human services secretary has broken his commitments to the movement. The scorecard alleged that Kennedy, 72, and the administration as a whole haven’t fully kept a single MAHA promise since taking office.

Among the scorecard’s creators are Dave Murphy, who formerly raised money for Kennedy’s campaign, and Charles Eisenstein, the health secretary’s former speechwriter, according to NBC News, which first reported on the project. MAHA advocate Tiffany Cianci authored the scorecard.

Cianci, an independent journalist, told the outlet that the Trump administration’s “lack of interest” in following up on their “basic promises” to the MAHA movement was a “blatant slap in the face.”

These promises fell into five categories: pesticide exposure, clean air and water, agency capture and swamp appointments, family farms, and healthy food for kids.

The project tallied that the administration had allegedly broken 37 promises, including cutting billions in clean air and water grants, canceling local food programs, and appointing lobbyists to oversight positions.

Kennedy had only “partially kept” five promises, according to the scorecard. These included his direction to stop recommending adding fluoride to local water systems and the USDA’s wishy-washy stance on supporting domestic beef producers.

Cianci defined “partially kept” as meaning “some action was taken in the direction of the promise, but it was incomplete, non-binding, contradicted by other actions, or significantly delayed from the promised timeline.”

The scorecard was punctuated by a list of the movement’s demands for the EPA, USDA, and HHS, which included restoring department staffing, tightening ethics regulations, and reforming agency programs.

The Daily Beast has reached out to the USDA and the EPA for comment.

“President Trump and Secretary Kennedy are delivering the fundamental change Americans voted for,” an HHS spokesperson told the Daily Beast in a statement. “Secretary Kennedy remains focused on delivering lasting reforms grounded in science, transparency, and accountability.”

White House spokesperson Allison Schuster told the Daily Beast in a statement that MAHA “has found a champion in President Trump.

“The Administration has already secured extensive victories for the MAHA Agenda, including overhauling the dietary guidelines for Americans, axing artificial ingredients in our food supply, and investing in regenerative farming,” Schuster said. “President Trump and Secretary Kennedy continue to work around the clock to deliver more wins for the American people.”

Cianci told the Daily Beast that the Trump administration not only failed to fulfill its promises, but “did the inverse.” She alleged that the administration hadn’t “drained the swamp,” but instead “put them in charge.”

She also told the Beast that she had initially planned to release the MAHA scorecard after the midterm elections, but because Congress broke for an early recess, she had more time to finalize the project for an earlier release.

The MAHA movement first took shape during Kennedy’s 2024 presidential campaign, bringing together advocates for food safety, vaccine skepticism, and environmentalism under the same umbrella.

After Kennedy endorsed the president and was later appointed to Trump’s Cabinet, MAHA shifted its allegiance to the Trump administration, hoping the health secretary could help advance its agenda.
