Bill Maher is being criticized after tweeting a joke about Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow—with some calling for a boycott of HBO. Maher, who is famously an atheist, tweeted after the Broncos’ Christmas Eve loss that “Jesus just f--- #TimTebow bad! And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell, Satan is tebowing, saying to Hitler, ‘Hey, Buffalo is killing them!’” Tebow, who was raised by missionary parents, is famous for praying on the field. Maher’s tweet came only a few days after a Saturday Night Live skit in which Jesus told Tebow to “take it down a notch.”
