Major Porn Site Bans North Carolina Users

In protest of North Carolina's new anti-LGBT law, popular porn website XHamster.com has banned all computer users from the state. Since 12:30 p.m. ET Monday, the free porn-sharing site has blocked IP addresses from the Tar Heel State, citing a belief in equality for all. “We have spent the last 50 years fighting for equality for everyone and these laws are discriminatory which XHamster.com does not tolerate,” the site's spokesman told Huffington Post. “We feel this punishment is a severe one. We will not standby [sic] and pump revenue into a system that promotes this type of garbage. We respect all sexualities and embrace them.” Aside from pornographic sites, musicians like Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams have taken to protesting the new law by cancelling upcoming performances in North Carolina.
