The GOP’s “hip-hop” era is about to close: Politico’s survey of the Republican National Committee's 168 members shows that Chairman Michael Steele faces a near-impossible road to reelection: Fifty-five oppose him under any conditions, while 33 have pledged support to a different candidate. Just as bad is the fact that not a single one of these members listed Steele as their second choice. Just 16 of the committee members who replied to the survey came out in support of Steele.
