The Federal Bureau of Investigation will examine the hard drive of a flight simulator taken from the home of the captain of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 after it was discovered that some of the data had been erased. Malaysia's transportation minister said it's not clear what was erased or who erased it, but simulation programs usually contain data from previous sessions for later playback. According to a simulator manufacturer interviewed by CNN, the deleting of data "would be suspicious to me, because there's no need to do it." However, it is important to note that the removal of the files does not demonstrate ill intent.
